Shawshank Redemption - Get Busy Livin'

Frank Darabont directed The Shawshank Redemption in 1992 using a script he had written that was based on a Stephen King short story - "Rita Hayworth and the ShawShank Redemption"

Rob Reiner made an offer to buy the rights to this story from Darabont before he started shooting.  Reiner planned to use actors including Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford rather than Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne and Morgan Freeman as Red Redding.  I, for one, am glad he did not sell those movie rights.

In this scene near the end of the movie Andy delivers one of the most quoted lines from the film.  The entire dialogue is included here.

If you ever go to Zihuatenejo in Mexico you will find that the oceanside resorts are located in the nearby town of Ixtapa.  I did not see anything that looked like Andy's Hotel when I visited that beach, though the town and the restaurants did seem to have a lot of American "ExPats" wandering around
