The Shawshank Redemption - Red's letter from Andy
In the weeks before he escaped from Shawshank Prison, Andy made a point to tell Red about an Oak Tree in the middle of a farmer's field north of Buxton Maine where he had buried something important beneath a piece of Black Volcanic glass. He made Red promise to visit that tree and retrieve that item when he had been paroled.
This scene pictures Red leaning against the rock wall beneath that tree and reading the letter Andy had left there.
(Andy also left him enough money in the envelope to be able to travel to to Zihuatanejo)
This scene from the movie was actually filmed in a farmers field in Eastern Ohio. The "Shawshank Tree' was heavily damaged in a thunderstorm and finally removed from the property in 2016 after serving as a tourist attraction for over 20 years
